Technical Education, Vocational Training and Industrialisation in Sub-Saharan Africa(SSA)

چکیده

This study contributes to a deeper understanding and perspective on the current debate structural transformation in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) by investigating effect of technical vocational education training industrial performance between 1980 - 2018. The panel data used for this were obtained from World Development Indicators (WDI), International Labour Organization (ILO), United Nations Educational, Social Cultural (UNESCO) Fraser Institute databases. empirical results derived Instrumental Variable (IV) Two-Stage Least Squares (2-SLS) econometric approach highlighted important role Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) as key determinants SSA. found strong robust relationship TVET measures industrialisation. General secondary education, other hand, had negative industrialisation paper recommends therefore that there is need complete overhaul revision educational system SSA with more emphasis order meet required labour demand needs foreseable future.
